Juhu Beach
Juhu beach is one of the most popular beaches in India. Located on the western suburbs of Mumbai on the shores of the Arabian Sea, Juhu beach is one of the most visited beaches in the country.
Juhu beach is flocked by hundreds of locals everyday who come here to just sit by and relax at the end of the day. Juhu beach is a perfect place to enjoy the view of mesmerising sunset in this city of skyscrapers.
Juhu beach is famous for its Mumbai street food. There are many vendors selling all time favourites like panipuri, bhelpuri, pao bhaji, vada pao etc.
One can also take a horse or camel ride or watch a monkey dancing, which is quite popular with tourists and children.
Lot many people come here to jog, walk, cycle or attend yoga sessions conducted by various groups. Juhu is indeed an affluent area. Here, it’s a common sight to see celebrities going for a morning run or jog and catching a breath of fresh air.
On the southern end of the beach are located posh residential bungalows and apartments, of various Bollywood celebrities like Amitabh Bachchan, Anil Kapoor, Anupam Kher, Rakesh Roshan, Vivek Oberoi etc., alongwith many elite hotels.
Alongwith Bollywood stars, many of Mumbai’s elite and rich reside close to Juhu beach.
Towards the northern end of the beach is Gandhi gram, where Father of the nation, Mahatma Gandhi, once lived. Today many children are seen indulging in various outdoor sports here.
Juhu Beach is in the itineraries of almost all tourists on their visit to Mumbai.
