Cabo De Rama Fort
16 Km north of Agonda beach is an ancient fort known as Cabo De Rama Fort or Cape Rama Fort.
Built by Hindu warriors, the fort was named after Lord Rama of Ramayana. In 1763, it was surrendered to the Portuguese who renovated and strengthened it.
A few turrets and cannons used by Portuguese can be seen lying around in the premises.
The fort today is almost in ruins but is a must visit for the wonderful views it offers from various points. One can view and capture magnificent beauty of Colva beach and Canacona from the fort.
