Bagore Ki Haveli

Bagore Ki Haveli is one of the most visited tourist attractions in Udaipur.

A palatial mansion built in 1750 AD, by the then Prime Minister of Mewar, Amir Chand Badwa, Bagore Ki Haveli was later further extended in 1878 by Maharana Shakti Singh of Bagore.

A huge mansion, Bagore Ki Haveli has over a hundred rooms and a number of wide courtyards, long corridors, open terraces and balconies.

The haveli is home to a number of exclusive items from Rajput era which, have been put up on display for tourists, like jewellery boxes, copper vessels, hukkahs, hand fans, dice games and world’s largest turban.

Few world famous monuments carved beautifully out of polystyrene are also exhibited in the art gallery.

The queen’s chamber has a beautiful collection of the world famous Mewari paintings and not to miss are the two exquisite peacocks with intricate mirror work.

Bagore Ki Haveli is now home to a museum of traditional puppetry that holds puppet shows and musical and dance performances every evening.
